Shingletown Council Free Trimming Disposal

Defensible Space Trimming Deposit Program

We are halfway through our seventh year of this popular program.  It is always a good time to improve you Defensible Space (DS) and this is the program that makes doing so convenient and inexpensive. We will be open from 9 am to 3 pm August 3 and 7 so bring your DS slash to the transfer station.

We have been having some loads that contain a lot of dirt and rocks so we want to remind you that this is a wildfire prevention program, and that dirt and rocks not only WILL NOT BURN, they damage the machine we use to prepare the slash for co-gen.  We are forced to turn away bad loads.

Remember, Fire Safe is Fire Wise.

Donations are needed for this event:

Donations are accepted and are used to pay our liability insurance bills and other Council Project costs, as well as fuel expenses. Our worker all volunteer their time and their equipment.
